The Philadelphia Marathon will be underway during the festival and the route may block streets going to our venue at Moore College of Art and Design.
Public transportation and walking will be the most reliable form of transportation.
From the Philly Marathon website:
Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses at traffic control points controlled by the Philadelphia Police Department (PPD).
Access to the Philadelphia Museum of Art during event hours will be maintained via Spring Garden Street (Spring Garden Street Bridge & Spring Garden Street Tunnel) to Anne D’ Harnoncourt Drive.
Motorists and pedestrians can expect delays when trying to crossroads or streets along the racecourse. Police will allow traffic through intersections when possible, depending on the flow of race participants.
WALKING:
FROM THE 30TH ST. TRAIN STATION:
Take John F. Kennedy Blvd. or Market St. eastward,
Turn left on 20th St., Right on Race Street, Moore College is a couple blocks away.
Tip: 24th St. is a one-way street going south whichg runs underneath Walnut Street Bridge where the route is, so if you are coming from South Philly you can walk but not drive north towards Moore College.
