Submission Guidelines
The Philadelphia Animation Festival is excited to accept submissions from both emerging and established animators. We are looking for innovative and creative works that push the boundaries of animation.
Submissions are open to short films, feature films, and experimental animations that have never aired on television. Each submission must be accompanied by a completed entry form and the applicable entry fee.
All films must be submitted in digital format. The preferred format is MP4, but we also accept MOV files. Please ensure your film is encoded with a high-quality codec to ensure the best possible screening experience.
The submission deadline is June 30th, and selected entries will be notified by August 15th.
Selection Criteria
The selection committee will evaluate submissions based on originality, creativity, and technical execution. We are particularly interested in animations that offer new perspectives or approaches to the medium.
We also encourage submissions that reflect diverse voices and stories. Our aim is to showcase a wide range of styles and narratives that reflect the rich tapestry of experiences and ideas within the animation community.
Selected films will be screened at the festival, providing a platform for your work to be seen by audiences and industry professionals alike. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure and connect with other creatives in the field.
Please ensure that your submission adheres to our guidelines and technical requirements to be considered for selection.
